the location of the lodge was excellent, situated right by the river. During our stay, we were lucky enough to witness an elephant coming to drink water from the pool, which was truly a mesmerizing moment. the game drives, which were included in our package, were conducted twice a day and were a highlight of our stay. the rangers, Mussa and Wise, were exceptional and went above and beyond to ensure we saw all the amazing wildlife. the lodge management and staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel at home throughout our stay. I would highly recommend Aha Makalali Private Game Lodge and can't wait to return!

The meals were delicious and varied, and the staff attentive and accommodating. The game drives were exceptional, with knowledgeable rangers who ensured we saw the big five. The lodge was comfortable, and the camp staff friendly and helpful. The guide on the game drives was incredibly knowledgeable and ensured we saw a wide range of wildlife, including special moments like a friendly elephant approaching our vehicle. a great experience with attentive staff and enjoyable game drives.

We went on morning and afternoon game drives and got to see the Big Five up close. The excitement of spotting wild animals in their natural habitat was unmatched. The lodge itself offered comfortable accommodation and the staff catered to our every need. We loved the adventure of being in an open game drive vehicle, even though the wind-chill factor made us bundle up in warm clothing. It was a truly exhilarating experience that allowed us to connect with nature and find our true inner selves.

The only thing we wished for as young party-going people was a livelier evening atmosphere. While the lodge provided a peaceful and serene setting, we would have loved to have some more entertainment options in the evenings.

aha makalali was beyond amazing! from start to finish, the staff was friendly, helpful, and went above and beyond. the game drives were unbelievable, and we saw the big 5 and more. the food was excellent, and the lodge itself was beautiful with stunning views. highly recommended!

The staff at the lodge were incredibly friendly and professional, making us feel welcomed from the moment we arrived. the rooms were comfortable, with high-quality beds that ensured a great night's sleep. We also loved the stunning views from the lodge, especially during sunrise and sunset. Location-wise, the lodge is nestled within a beautiful mountain range, adding to the overall charm of the place.

The food did not live up to our expectations. the lamb curry was tough and full of fat, making it inedible, and the crocodile was dry.

The staff at this amazing lodge were incredibly accommodating, making sure I had an unforgettable experience. Despite arriving late and missing the first game drive, they went out of their way to set up additional activities for me. The dinner was prepared to perfection, following my instructions, and the taste was simply incredible. The room was always spotlessly clean, with housekeeping tidying up during each game drive. my stay was mind-blowing thanks to the friendly staff and the unforgettable game drives.

The food, especially the cappuccinos, was deliciously prepared. we had a tranquil and pampering experience.

I recently stayed at Aha Makalali in the beautiful Makalali Game Reserve for a week-long safari adventure. The staff at the lodge, especially Meagan, Sandra, Joyce, and the security guards Mohale and Edwin. Our game drives led by William and Batha were incredible, with sightings of the big five and amazing animal interactions. The food at the lodge was exceptional, and the cleanliness of the property was top-notch. I highly recommend this unique and unforgettable safari experience.
